I'm sitting here with my hair wrapped in plastic wrapped in a t-shirt and snowy moon's moisture treatment tucked nicely inside. I'm going to leave it on as long as I can stand it.

I haven't seen anyone mention the rinsing process. Is it hard to get out? I have a difficult time rinsing out regular CO.

Oh, and I see that I was supposed to have clean wet hair when I put it on. whoops. I put it on dry hair....

Anyway, excited to see what this does for my curls!

I've actually never done an SMT, but now that I'm off SO, I'm considering it, so do let us know how it turns out! (Hint hint, nudge nudge, pictures are awesome! =D)

If my hair dries before bedtime tonight I'll post pictures using a comparison pic from a few weeks ago. Depends on when I rinse it!

It's probably easier to spread in dry hair. And it depends on what conditioner you use as to whether it's hard to rinse out. I found one that works really well for me, but V05 and Suave don't wash out well in my hair with my water. Also SMTs don't work nearly as well on my hair in the winter when the air is dry. In the summer, though... it's like liquid silk. ;)

Is there a recipe for this somewhere?

hmmm, that's interesting, Zesty. What conditioner do you use? I use Suave green apple but if there's one you think rinses better I'd be up to try it! And I'd think hair would be so happy for moisture in dry winter. crazy crazy hair!

Hmm, not sure if there is a visual difference. Seems to have rinsed out well, though.

This is from a few weeks ago:

I really want to try an SMT, but I don't have AVG. :/ PLUS, I have a hair mask that has honey & AVG in it so I figure it's like an SMT lol

There is an actual SMT thread. With the recipe, recommended conditioners, and substitutions used. Etc.

I use Tresemme Naturals -- the moisturizing avocado one. It's the conditioner that rinses best out of my hair, and has also been the best one I've used for SMTs. :)

Love your hair! The wurl is so beautiful. And thickness!

I've never tried an SMT with the AVG (seems too expensive to bother with), and I don't find mixing conditioner + honey is worth the hassle most of the time. Did you like your results?

I think your curls fall nicer after SMT, really nice hair.

thanks! I did end up with a good hair evening after the smt but I also didn't leave the house while it was drying. I think it helped a little. I might try doing it once a month or two and see if it continues to enhance it.

I've never had any more trouble rinsing out an SMT than reglar CO.

Have you tried an ACV rinse at the very end? I found that an ACV rinse leaves my hair nice and soft and washes any conditioner left in my hair.

What beautiful hair. The colour is sublime.
