I'm actually Asian, but I was trying to get a cheap boar bristle brush at Walmart and the ones I found seemed to be all marketed towards black people. Why is this so? Are they different from other boar bristle brushes or are they all the same?

That's a new one on me. I've never seen a boar bristle brush pitched at a particular race before. The brush itself seems to be a good deal..but the neck looks a little too thick for comfort. Of course nothing beats checking out a bbb in person to test the bristle flexability and the way the brush feels when you hold it!

I bought mine from Family Dollar or Dollar General it was in the ethnic section.

I've wondered the same thing. I have a bbb from that brand that is either that one or very similar, but I don't know how it compares to other bbb's and I'm not sure if it's really helping my hair. I know that sometimes I wish the bristles were longer
