Let's see what's in there...
Vitamin e, oryzanol, fatty acids.
Oryzanol is supposed to support hair growth an protect the hairs from the sun Rice oil is also hypo alergenic.
(I found this on http://www.tandurust.com/alternativetherapies/rice-bran-oil-benefits-skin.html)
So I guess I will be trying it soon:)

Hmmm....I've never heard of Rice Oil before. I don't see why it would be bad. All I guess you can do is test it and see.

Do you mean rice bran oil? I think it can be used for hair and scalp - not sure if it penetrates the hair though. I found this article (http://www.livestrong.com/article/335993-rice-bran-oil-benefits-for-hair/) from Livestrong which provides a bit of information. HTH
ETA: misspelling

Rice bran oil is very popular asian countries for hair and skin. I wanted to try it but every bottle i found says must be refrigerated and i kno i wont be bothered enough to trek down the stairs after a shower freezing my buns off to go get it or put it back lol

Hmm... *off to check my bottle *
Mine doesn't say to keep refrigerated, it just says that with temps below 7 dgrs Celsius it might solidifie.
And I know what you mean Natalia I'm a little lazy too sometimes:D
Thank for all the input you guys, I think I'll try it this afternoon.
Yay, a new experiment.:p
ETA: yes I meant Rice bran oil, I just translated what it said on the bottle ( rijst olie)

We use rice bran oil almost exclusively for cooking and I've used it in my hair a few times.
It worked pretty well actually. I'd say give it a go.

Maybe I'll mix it with my mustard oil because I'm afraid that mustard oil on it's own may be to strong for me
And I really want to try them both:p

Rice Bran Oil also contains ceramides. I really love it for skin but I've used with success on my hair and it seemed to sink in pretty well when used as a finishing oil. Will have to get a bigger bottle so I can try it as a pre shampoo treatment. :)

So, I just covered my hair and scalp with the oils I used a 50/50 ratio.
The mustard oil has virtually no smell so I can't help but wonder about the quality.:/
The mix feels pretty thick, kind of luxurious:)
So I guess it's quite a heavy oil but we'see how it washes out:)

I washed it out last night and went to sleep, when I woke up i undid my braid only to find out my top is okay but the ends are still oily:p
It was not as bad as my olive oil experiment, it is just a Tiny bit oily, but still.
If I have to wash my hair twice to get the oil out of my hair, it kind of nullifies the effect, does it not?
Now I have to use them both separatly so I can find out wich oil was the evildoer:)
