I just read in another thread that aloe vera gel can help with flyaways. I have a big aloe vera plant. I was wondering if anyone knows how to apply the raw gel to hair? Would it mix with water and work in a spray bottle?

Thanks!

The problem is preservation... I've seen people say they can preserve it for months with citric acid and refrigeration but that's outside of my comfort zone. If it were me, I'd be making up a batch of gel, taking a weeks worth out and putting it in the fridge (and freezing the rest in an ice cube tray). As far as usage goes most of the time I hear people using it mixed with water in spray bottles or putting it in wet hair.

Thanks so much!

So it does mix with water? No problem with preservation as I can just make a bit as I need it. Is there a "recipe" or formula for water/gel amount?

Also, just heard of using it as an ingredient in a DCT/mask! :D

No problem :)

Aloe gel mixes very easily with water... I don't know if there is a specific formula floating around for aloe + water sprays. Looks like you get to do some experimenting!
