Hello everyone! Now that we're back up and running, I checked and either the data was lost for our original November style of the month or it's still in the void waiting to be restored. I'll start a new one in case the original is lost.

Ponytails!

How do you dress up your ponytails? Is it changing their placement or doing something fancy with them?

Have fun everyone. :D

This will be interesting :) I just sometimes do a low pony at the nape and add flowers to get a more girly look :)

Does this count as a pony tail? I think technically it's an odango or something? Either way it's fun- elastic free and it gives me a 'tail' without worrying that it's getting rubbed between my back and everything else all day.

It's also a fantastic way of shortening your hair for the day! Love it!

Here's mine! A regular ponytail, accented with a cute herringbone

Awesome! I can never get the 'wrap the hair around the elastic' thing right- it never stays or I end up ripping hair out by accident.

Oh, I have lots to contribute this time, yey!

I tend to default to the standard high ponytail, 'cos I like the swingy, swishy feeling it makes when I move (^(oo)^)v Usually I embellish my ponytail with an outfit-coordinated twilly scarf to camouflage the elastic:

For special events, I like to give the ends a bit of a curl for extra bounce:

If I'm going for a more laid-back look, I may opt for a low pony instead:

But recently I hit upon a new hybrid updo, which I have been wearing nonstop since summertime! I call it a Flipped Pork Twist:

It also comes in an upside-down version (^(oo)^)v

I adore your Flipped Pork Twist! I doubt it will look as good with my slightly wavy hair but I must try.

Here's a couple [crappy] pictures of a shortened ponytail/bun I do (I should really take an actual picture of it, since I wear it all the time):

Here's a different shortened ponytail I did for prom 2010, which I'll probably never wear again since it had no desire to stay up:

And here's a picture of a regular ponytail taken a year ago at a meet (by Gumball):

Okay - How do you do this? I really love the casual, yet chic, quality of the style!
