Below are several long-term hair care effectiveness polls. Please read each one carefully before voting, and pay special note that you should have used a successful treatment/oil/wash method/etc. for six months before voting that it worked for you. If something does NOT work for you, you obviously do not have to have it NOT work for six months, you can vote that it didn't work right away.

One thing to keep in mind is not to compare the total number of votes, but the ratio of how many it worked for, versus how many a given treatment did not work for. So while 5, 344 people may have tried colby-jack cheese in their hair, the fact that it worked for 1,233 and didn't work for 4,111 is more important. So if 500 people used swiss cheese and 375 people had success with it, versus 125 who it failed for, you may be better off starting with swiss, as it has a higher success ratio than colby-jack, even though more people have tried colby-jack. :) Hope that makes sense!

It's in the second poll, they're all alphabetized. :) It's under Coconut Oil/Moni Oil

I think its good to add a poll about methods for scalp massage, such as snowy's or any other methods used by members?

First off, will there be crackers to eat with that colby and swiss cheese?
Secondly, I'll whine if there's not! Then we'll have cheese and whine but no crackers!

I didn't see Argan oil in the polls, I'd be interested to see how many ppl have had success with it seeing as it's so popular and sought after at the moment

I just did I heavy oiling with a 50/50 mix of Rice bran oil and mustard oil ( wich I liked)
But I couldn't find either of them, I couldn't find amla or mineral oil either.
Maybe a new poll is in order:p

ETA: I don't use mineral oil personally but I know some people do I would find it interesting to find out how many:)

These polls are fun. I see I fall right in the majority with my shampoo/conditioner and coconut oil.

I just found this thread and OMG this is so helpful! Knowing what worked and didn't work for people really is helping me make good decisions on where to start.
