I realised, that my hair seems to get tangled more when I wear it down in Winter. Probably dew to scarfs and such.
So I decided to join you. I'll wear my hair up everyday till the 31st of January. I'll leave for Peru in February and it's going to be warm there.

Day 1: bun held by a fakeccare.

Also I realized that braids are ok for me too. My hair is still very short, so even braiding helps my a lot :)

I am in the military, so I have had to wear my hair up every day since my hair hit just past jaw length. I absolutely despised having to wear my hair up every single day, until I read this thread. It never occured to me that people might wear their hair up every day intentionally to protect it and to try out new, beautiful do's.

I have found a new appreciation for my forced hairstyle. And you all have inspired me to do more with my hair than just the military bun. I just ordered some braiding books......its never too late to learn.

But I can't do any up-do's with my mane other then a braided bun and a french braid, dutch braid, or french twist. So hopefully I'll learn some new ones!

Last Sunday I had a part down day for a few hours after a sponge roll experiment...Made me realize why I prefer my hair up...Can anyone say TANGLES?? :D

I've decided to try this for one month, so I'm hoping all goes well! It's really interesting how many different types of braids and buns there are, I was quite surprised during my hunting. Before now I've pretty much only done plain english braids so far.

The only down side is that I have a straight across cut fringe that is really difficult to tie back (I've decided to start growing it out), I managed to get it into a pretty tight french plait yesterday though and used a chunk of hair in front of my ear to finish it off into an english braid. I did end up with bits falling out of it during the day though. I might have to get a proper headband.

I am back to try this again. I cannot seem to make it past a month. However, my reasons are different this time. I am sort of OVER my hair and it seems to be in some weird in between stage where I cannot wear it down or up. It falls out of buns easily (my new hair routine has it super silky) but down it is VERY tangly. I am hoping a few months growth will get it past this stage. I am having to use hair scoos to keep it up and my hair is spitting the sticks right out! Right now the infinity is the best stick bun I can keep in. This is day 2 for me, infinity both days. Trying til April 1st. Hmm...just like last year...

Well its the start of the year! So this seems like a fun way to start it :) I pretty much wear my hair up all the time anyway now though... so I think I'll just use this to document how I'm wearing my hair every day?

Well here goes:
1: Down to dry after washing, then Cinnabun with a Sapphire lotus Ficcare
2: Rapunzel braid (I went to see Tangled!)
3. Cinnabun with Sapphire lotus Ficcare

Oh, I also always wear it in a high bun to sleep.

I am going to try to wear my hair up every day until March 18 (the end of my school's quarter)! It will be hard, though, because I prefer wearing it down. It hasn't been looking as good as I want it to lately and I don't think the wind + hats have been helpful for it.

Today I did a French braided bun thing held with a hairstick.

Also...do ponytails count? :)

Maybe from snagging on things, depends on your hair length. At my length I think it is healthier to wear it loose than in a pony. I get the nape knot no matter what I do.

okay im in cos i just cant stop twirling and mucking with my hair and combing it all the time and obsessing over whether its growing or not when its down! also my 11 yr old son still loves twirling and messing with it when he gets a mamma hug! :) all these things are just not good for my hair! im just gonna end up with damage! i havent got long gorgeous hair like you guys so i wont be able to get it up in fancy creative ways! i think it will be scrunchie lazy buns and claw clips all the way lol! im planning a month to start with! this will be my first goal! this will be a real challenge for me!

So, I have also been wearing my hair up every day since the beginning of the year, and I thought I would share pictures from today's updo. It's kinda messy, but I was experimenting and having fun. Normally, I wear it in a regular bun, or sock bun because it's easier for me.

Day 326 - hypno bun...I think the ACV rinse I did on Thursday has made my hair more slippery than ever! Even my usually rock-solid hypno bun kept slipping out today, and nothing else would even begin to hold...

Day 328 - diagonal french braid on left side, then that braid tail used as a strand in an English braid with the rest of the hair, and then that braid bunned on the lower right side...no idea what that's called!

I have cheated once by wearing a half up, but I'm pretty proud of myself! When first doing this challenge the first few times I had cheated about once a week. Now, I have found a love for English braids, it's easy to wear it up! :)

Hello, I'd like to start again if I may. Since I stopped in November, I've completely got the wearing my hair down thing out of my system for a while, and because I'm not writing it down anymore, I'm getting in a bit of a style rut. I'm backdating this to last Saturday because I worked out that's a hundred days till Easter, and I haven't worn it down this week. So here goes:

Day 1 - Dutch plait pinned up, Flexi-8
Day 2 - Nautilus, fork
Day 3 - LWB, Ketylo
Day 4 - Pencil bun, homemade stick
Day 5 - LWB, Ketylo
Day 6 - French plait pinned up, Ficcare
