Yesterday at the Coupeville Festival of Art I saw a woman with very gorgeous rich dark brown braided hair......just about mid-thigh length. We were headed totally opposite directions or I'd have said something to her....but I found myself wondering if she was an LHC'er!

I often wonder that about people too! We could be talking to each other everyday and pass on the street and not even know it!:)

Yeh I know the feeling. There was a lady on my bus route who had lovely hair. Not very long but looked like it was growing and very healthy, up most the time. I often wondered if she was a lhcer

I kind of keep hoping this woman is an LHCer and will pop in and say, "It was me you saw!!!"

I keep checking these long hair sighting threads waiting for this to happen, but alas...

I posted this in the Long Hair Sighting Thread (which I haven't checked in a while so maybe I should go do that):
I distinctly remember this very thing happening last year! I'm pretty sure it was Stockholm (or somewhere in Scandinavia or Northern Europe):
one LHCer posted something about seeing a woman with a lovely updo (and a Ficcare, I think?) on the bus, and someone else wrote in and said That was me!
It was very cool. :cheese: Anyone else remember this???

You all bring up a great point. If there's a lady out there with classic length, wavy (what looked to me like) naturally red hair in a great long pony tail, who was at the Friendly Center K&W cafeteria in Greensboro, NC, USA about 3 months ago, I saw you :). My friend (the only one I dared to confide my long hair aspirations to) saw the lovely long hair first and said to me "So! You gonna grow your hair *that* long?!". I turned and saw this lady's hair and just sort of mumbled something about mine having to be in better condition first before I even think about getting it that long!

Ah, you may be right!
I'm glad someone else remembers this.... Isilme, was it you???

What a fantastic idea...Every long hair I've seen, I've asked a few questions, and decided that they weren't an LHC'er...I figure if they don't know there is a whole online community of long hairs, then they must not be part of it! :D

We all think alike! I, too, wonder if some of the long-haired people I see belong to our community. Haven't asked anyone yet, but I have bored my short-haired DS about how cool this site is LOL!:D

It's kind of funny- I've used the term "hairtoy" in casual conversation, trying to "out" LHC-ers. But it's such a catchy term that even non-longhairs immediately 1. Know what it means, and 2. Start using it in conversation with me. So...yeah. My method wasn't so successful!

Just ask... I met an LHCer at my gym last month. She's not that active here, but I recognized her username from a few years ago. Didn't even know she lived in the PNW.
And once, I got a PM from Polyhex, asking if it was me she kept seeing around. Turns out it was. Of all the crazy things, we worked in the same building!

Do you still meet with her for lunch occasionally? :)
