so the boards are back up just in time for my big chop.

for various reasons (I wanted a new style for the season, i wanted a dramatic change, long hair was exhausting to take care of and annoying to have around) I got it hacked into a bob that I love!

before (about 35"):

and after: chin length bob!

It won't be that straight naturally; the hair dresser straightened it with a blow dryer to make sure it was even. I can't wait to see the curls though.

soon i'll be dying it with the 2 step henna/indigo process for a dark black. but right now i'm really enjoying this! it weighs less. it doesn't swoosh anymore; it flips.

I'm also very distracted by how much I look like Velma from Scooby Doo.

That bob does looks really cute on you. And when your hair gets back to its natural shape, which with 2a should happen pretty quickly (my hair is mostly 2b and when the hairdresser blow dried it at my last trim, it was back to its waviness within a day), it'll be framing your face naturally.

biogirl- thanks! I really can't wait to see the curls and waves.

biogirl- thanks! I really can't wait to see the curls and waves.Just be patient with it. When I started letting my hair grow past shoulder length, I discovered that it was getting a bit more wavy that it was previously. Your hair type is similar to mine and your hair could be the same way.

If I cut mine to that length, it would be totally straight.

thanks so much everyone! :) and PinkyCat- YES! I will definitely be rockin the red lipstick. I'm planning on buying a few more shades.

Spirals, yeah I do still have the braid :) still not sure what to do with it. My friends and I were joking that we should get it an aquarium like one would have for a pet snake. We'd get it a climbing log and a dish of water and move it every day so it would be as though it were alive.
I have strange friends...

DinaAG, i have been planning on selling it but don't seem to have any buyers yet. If no one purchases it by the time my advertisement expires, i'll be donating it... once I choose an organization I like :)

I'll be posting pictures as soon as I have them. I took this photo just now; it's still damp, so not as fluffy as it is normally. but I haven't styled it at all except for blowdrying my bangs a little. (cold setting)

more pics after it dries :) it's a lot more fluffy than this. i love it.

Also, i'm holding off on the indigo and enjoying my henna red for at least one more week. I do love the way highlights shimmer brightly in the sun light.

Also... how strange to not have any split ends. this is so foreign to me!
