I cannot upload a photo at the moment for some odd reason but my profile photo is about a year old and my hair is maybe two inches longer.

My hair is super thick and long enough that curls fall out from weight. I have naturally wavy hair and curls stick pretty easy if the strand of hair is shorter (like in a pony tail).

My wedding dress is very classy and because of that and my general hair issues, I can't find a way to do my hair that fits the theme and works.

Help?

Tell us a little more about your gown, your theme and your general personal style. I think that would certainly help me brainstorm.

I for one had this major pet peeve about women who look nothing like themselves on their wedding day (often owing to the fact that their makeup and hair stylist didn't really know them, or didn't take their personal style into account), so I had my sister braid my hair in a big fat regular braid.

I don't wear a french braid, like ever, so though she suggested it would look more elegant, I was firm that I wanted to look like me from every angle on my wedding day. My sister also placed a flower jeweled hair-fork at the base of my braid to dress it up. It was beautiful.

At the time I didn't even wear my hair in buns, because it was really too short at my thickness to make a proper bun anyhow. When we get married again (as planned for our tenth anniversary) I will have many more options for my hair.

Also- I wore no make-up (not even eyeliner, which I do often wear). I was really hard-core on the being a recognizable as possible in my pictures thing.

This is my gown. The train is longer in person and the beading almost looks gold.

Style? I'm not really sure what my style is. I haven't quite found "me" yet.

I am young, so is my soon-to-be husband. So I guess I want to look youthful and such on my wedding day. I don't ware a lot of makeup and I wont on my wedding day either. I do want my hair to be super pretty though. It wouldn't look good with my dress if my hair was just in a simple braid.
