Hair typing help

Hey everyone! :)

So this is my first post here... ever! :D I've actually been registrered for a quite a while but I've never really felt the need to post anything until now.

This morning I decided to take some hair typing pictures since I'll be home all daaaay. I did a CWC and then let my hair air dry. I didn't towel dry, plop it or anything, I just let it do its own thing lol.

I originally took more pictures of my hair drying, but I am crap at taking pictures of my own hair so these are the ones that looked allright. :laugh: Oh, and sorry if the images are a bit big!

Well, I'm thinking my hair type is something around 2b, but I'm not really sure since some of the hair is straighter. Any ideas? :o

I'd say 2C. I think you definitely have spirals there, but they're broken up by the layering. My spirals need length to show.

This looks like 2b or 2c to me. That said, take my opinion with a pinch of salt because I've never even been able to hair type myself, never mind anyone else.

2c with maybe a touch of 3a (looks like there are some spirally bits hidden under there somewhere). I think it's definitely too wavy to be a 2b which is a looser wave.

Going with 2c/3a, definitely see some spirals. But more 2c. You could encourage the 3a to come out though!

It looks a lot like mine does in the back. I call that 2c. The longer it gets, the curl might spiral more, so you can always do another typing then:)

I agree with 2c/3a, but try again in a few years. I called myself 2c/3a for years, then noticed that the spirals of my now past-waist hair begin where the hair peels away from my head, not halfway down.

Hey, thanks everyone! It really helped a lot :) I'll change my hairtype in the profile to 2c for now, but I'll probably do another hairtyping when it's gotten longer just to be sure :)

I thought once it got spirals it was heading into the 3s? The wave pattern is quite dense in her hair, which I think is beyond 2b (of course, it's always open to interpretation :D) I see 2b as being looser waves (but still more wavy than 2a).
