One Year Hair Anniversary!

Hey y'all! Just thought I'd share my progress over the past year, since it has been because of you guys that I have been able to grow my hair out!

I started growing it out in May 2011, before I discovered the LHC:

I discovered the LHC last August and started just letting my hair go. I put my straightener and the chemical dyes away:

And this is my hair today! I think I have finally reached waist length. In the past year I've trimmed it about 3 times to thicken my ends as my layers grow out. I am very pleased with my hair now and can't wait to reach my goal!

I use coconut oil about once a week as a pre-wash treatment. Other than that, just stretching washes and keeping hot tools away from my hair has helped tremendously.

it really does make a huge difference! my hair is naturally dry and the heat just exacerbated that. I've straightened my hair 3x in the past year and I just hate how crispy and dried out my ends feel when they are straight.

Your hair is looking very shiny, good work on keeping away from the straightener!!!
