Ok, so I have agreed to be in a fashion show this coming Saturday and it is very last minute for me. I am doing my own hair and makeup and I need an updo for BSL length hair that looks fancy but can be done by the relatively unskilled! I have no worries about my makeup, but the hair is freaking me out. Here is a photo of the dress:

I have bangs and the rest is to BSL length, all one length. I can only do the most basic braids, French, Dutch, etc, Chinese bun...all sorts of ordinary things but I need to come up with something unique. Please help!

I looked at the dress and immediately thought - Big Sock Bun.

What about a chignon, with a large red flower tucked in, it would look lovely and Spanish, exotic. I looked at the dress and thought - Spanish!

Do a french twist with the ends out. Pin the twist part with roller pins. Then, using two mirrors, arrange the waves over it. Twist some if that looks good. Pin down small sections with those tiny 1-inch bobbie pins. You'll be making a mass of wavy tendrils. Very fem. Stick a silk flower stem in the seam if you want.

I though cute odango double buns, a little Eastern flair.

I saw this video today and this 'do is REALLY pretty. All it requires is some french braiding around the head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dC5xttnkRWg

I would go with a messy low side bun and alot of height at the top of your head (like teased). Then maybe I would throw a flower in your hair on one side of the bun that matches the dress.
