I have some mini mico beads and just wondered if anyone has used these successfully without any permanent damage to measure growth? I am not sure how often to change beads wether it be monthly or weekly.

I have never heard of these. Do they just attach to a single strand of hair? I would be concerned about them getting stuck in my brush and ripping out the hair, but I have no idea what they are.

I purchased them to use with feathers, they are tiny beads that can be tightened and loosened with pliers ( sounds worse than it is) and they stay securely in place for any length of time.

Here is a link to what they look like

I seen a person take thread wrap around their hair as a growth marker. I don't see what harm it would do if you're careful.

That's a good idea, what do you mean though like the hair wrapped in pretty colours that you get done on holiday?
