Not the solution for everyone, but I cut long bangs / face framing pieces into my hair, so I can put the rest of it up without baring my hairline!

Yep! I'm a 1c/2a, but my hair looks a lot straighter than that. My strands are quite fine, so my waves started getting truly weighed down at like CBL.
