One for the braid fanatics! A variation on the folded braid.
Full Article
Take two small sections of hair at the front, one on the left and one on the right, and braid each section to the end. You don't need to tie off the ends of these small braids.
Make one large braid using all the hair, starting at the nape of the neck. Add the small braid on the left to the left strand and the small braid on the right to the right strand. Keep the small braids on top and they should be visible within the large braid. (I forgot to do this for these pictures.)
With your index fingers and thumbs, divide the base of the braid, making a hole. Flip up the braid and thread the end through the hole. Pull the rest of the braid down through the hole. Be as gentle as you can - ease it and wiggle the braid through if it's a tight fit.
Once the whole braid is through, pull the resulting tuck nice and snug.
Flip up the braid and fold it in half so that the fold is resting at your crown. Adjust where you fold the braid depending on how long your hair is. As you can see, mine is not folded exactly in half.
Tuck the end of the braid into the pocket you previously created. It should sit there quite happily without pinning.
Secure the folded braid with your choice of clip or slide.
This is quite a hard-wearing style. As long as I sleep on a satin pillowcase, I can wear it two days running without having to redo the small braids.
