   Shermie Girl's Faux French Twist-Roll
This 'do is a variation of the French Twist. It is similar to a hairdo that my Mother has worn for many years. I adapted it to my own needs and it is a great favourite.

If you would like an updo that is easy, fast, elegant, comfortable and fairly secure, you have come to the right place. This style works best on shorter lengths; between just below shoulder to about BSL. If you hair is thicker, you will need a little more length, if it is thinner, this style could work for you at shoulder length.

All you need is a beak style clip or hair pins or tiny jaw-claws and a brush or comb.

Here's how:

1) Gather all of your hair into a smooth ponytail just above the "equator" of your head. Do not secure it.

2) Wrap the length of the ponytail around your fingers or hand. (Depending on how much length you are working with.) If you are attempting this with longer hair, you will have to make multiple wraps. Don't wrap the hair too tight.

3) Holding the hand with the hair wrapped on it with the fingertips against your scalp (as if you are going to dive your fingers into your head) gently and smoothly slip the wrap off your hand and gently twist it as you quickly and smoothly lie it against the back of your head.

4) Secure the roll (the top of the 'do) with a clip or hair pins or tiny jaw claws. If you want this style to hold like iron, use pins and secure the roll and tuck a few pins into the twist running down your head.

Enjoy.
