Default Cayenne Pepper internally for hair growth?

    Hello everyone

I was thinking about taking cayenne pepper internally since it's supposed to speed up hair growth and gives you a bunch of other health benefits.

The theory is that it greatly increases blood circulation, which in turn accelerates hair growth.

Have any of you been taking cayenne pepper internally on a daily basis, and if so have you noticed any difference to your growth?

IDK about internally... I eat very spicy food and fairly often, no extra growth here.
Cayenne worked great externally in the winter.

Judging from the lack of replies, this doesn't seem to be a terribly popular method for hair growth. In any case I've been trying to increase my spicy food intake to help with my circulation (I suffer from cold hands, nose and feet) but my stomach isn't too pleased with it at the moment

Thanks for your reply Audrey Horne - how do you apply the cayenne pepper externally? Do you mix it with an oil?

This is one of the traditional hair growth treatments: cayenne pepper mixed with oils (e.g. olive), either by infusing them for a while or by creating a thick paste.

I haven't tried it because I don't care about speeding up my growth.
The logic behind applying cayenne pepper pretty strong: anything that is stimulating, will be stimulating hair growth too. Besides, it has anti-fungal properties, and when your scalp is clean and healthy, hair grows better and hair fall is reduced.
I think that things like mustard oil, onion/garlic, peppermint, tea tree and other oils are similar in effect.

I used to eat a lot of spiced foods & it didn't ever boost my growth.

Instead I mixed rosemary oil, peppermint oil & cayenne/chilli powder as a stimulant but it was too powerful on my scalp and I haven't got the right quantities yet...

Something like the above might be more useful than ingesting. Just add some cayenne to a carrier oil like olive or jojoba, etc.

I tried it externally once, mixed cayenne and chili flakes in olive oil at put it on my scalp, it was a nice tingly feeling.

Cayenne pepper is great for knocking out a sore throat.

    For hair growth - I don't know.
