2 year anniversary (very pic heavy)

Ok I'm a little late but close enough. And hey, y'all were saying that people weren't posting enough

The reason I first started growing my hair long was because my hair was cut *way* too short in the summer of 2007. It ended up being a pixie that was long on the top and really feathery (I don't have any good pictures of this, the haircut was really terrible on me). I didn't get my hair cut at all for a couple years, also started coloring my hair in 2009, which brings us to when I joined TLHC in February 2010:

While I did like the color I was getting sick of the upkeep and my hair was in really bad shape from the coloring and straightening. That was the last time I had dyed my hair that color.

In October of 2010, the bottom layer of my hair hit waist:

I hadn't really trimmed at all at this point, so my ends were very thin and just breaking off. So between then and now I have trimmed off at least a few inches, changed my hair routine around completely, wear it up more, etc. In January of this year, my hair looked like this, just a couple inches past hip length:

I did still have a lot of taper and my ends were all split so I decided to trim off another inch and hold off on reaching tailbone length for a while, which brings us to this:

There's still a lot of old dyed hair that is eventually going to have to come off. Since I had held off on coloring my hair for two years and I've made a lot of progress with the state of my hair, I decided to color a portion of my hair with Manic Panic Vampire Red without bleaching anything before so it would fade back to my regular color:

It looks great! I love the last 2 photos in particular. Lovely red! What is that braid weave in the last photo? It's *way* cool. I'd love to be able to do something like that someday.
