Perhaps you should help her do her hair Merlin. I so wish I had someone to french/dutch braid my hair. She might need assistance for her first couple of french twists but after that it should be a cinch.
Women are Angels and when someone breaks our wings, we simply continue to fly on a broomstic We are flexible like that.

I was able to do a french twist at that length.Try a regular french twist or a easy fast one held with a beak clip.
Quick bump to say she's just gone out to do a concert with a French Twist held with a flexi-8 (and a few addtional hairpins). It's not the neatest one ever, but it was my first go..
Thanks for the advice everybody

Nice one Merlin, it's so sweet of you to help her out.
My hair at shoulder when dry is too thick for a french twist. But when it's still damp it will go up just fine and looks nice dry or wet.
I'd say try it and see what happens the only way to know what your hair will do is to do it.

I read this thinking, "Well, there's no way my hair could accomplish that!" Forgetting to take thickness into account...
