    Unhappy Newbie Needing Help!!!

Calling all ladies and gentleman with beautiful, healthy, long hair!
    I need HELP.
I did the most stupid thing ever - got a perm.
I thought it would look good BUT it didn't even work - it literally fried my hair.
My hair went from to the middle of my back all the way up to my shoulders basically...
    DO NOT GET A PERM...
I just recently got engaged and I really want my long healthy hair back but all it seems to do is break, I need advice!!!
I am always deep conditioning it, trying to not style it, etc etc but all it seems to do is get shorter and I miss my mane HELLLP, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Really all you can do at that point is cut the damage off. If you don't want it all off so soon and drastically just trim it every once in a while. Keep your hair hydrated now also because it's thirsty!

Thank you (: yeah, I just finally decided to cut it most of it off.
It still seems to have a really weird feel to it though and tends to break very easily.

Hi and welcome. You did the right thing - gulp - to cut the damage. This might be a good time to play with different updo's. That would protect your hair and also you won't be looking for length every day. Benign neglect we call it around here.
