Can I achieve this goal by September?

Currently my short-term goal is to regain the length I had at my wedding in September 2004. This year on 10 September it will be my 8th wedding anniversary and my husband and I are going away for a second honeymoon, so I thought it would be wonderful if I could actually achieve this hair goal by then! But is it possible?

This is the length it was back then, somewhere roundabout TBL...


And this is where I'm at now, partway between waist and hip (even wearing the same dress for easier comparison!):


So, do we think I can make it by September? I'm currently doing 'no trims in 2012' and I have had some great growth recently

To me, it looks like you're nearly at classic length in that first pic, and maybe a 8-12 inches longer than your hair is now.

Now, how fast hair grows can vary a lot, but honestly, I'd say reaching that length by September is unlikely unless you usually get over an inch a month.

Sigh, probably just wishful thinking on my part. Might be to do with the different angles and perspectives in the photographs but I really thought I had less distance to go than that

Oh well, maybe this time next year...
