I have finally settled with a routine after much experimentation. I put coconut oil in my hair every night before washing. Then I wash with a cheap diluted shampoo followed by a coney conditioner to protect my hair from tangles and breakage. I do a honey lightening treatment once a month (mostly just to keep my hair healthy, but I do like the lightening effects as well since I'm a natural blonde). After I shower I brush my wet hair with a tangle teaser so it doesn't dry tangly (don't worry, though; it doesn't break my hair at all and I am careful), and then I let it air dry. I also braid it every night before I go to sleep. The end.

I've tried many things since joining here but these days all I do is wash it on Sundays and put a little coconut oil on the ends.

I experimented a lot when I first found LHC (maybe a little too much )

Now, I experiment if something really intriguing catches my eye (Nighblooming Panacea is on my list ) but for the most part I have a routine my hair likes so I stick with it.

I'm an experimenter not by choice, I would LOVE to follow the basics and have perfect hair but its not possible at this time so...yeah

I used to be an experimenter but I have my routine now. Sometimes I still like trying new treatments and stuff, though. But most of the time I use shampoo, conditioner and coconut oil, put it up and forget about it.

Benign neglect definitely. I just haven't been bothered to do anything with my hair lately. However, it's now long enough that I've started to braid it for sleeping, so I must be doing something right!

I'm mostly a benign neglect person. I'll try new things occasionally, especially when i was first learning how to care for long hair, but since I started CO washing I stuck with that, with a short foray into Shampoo Bars. I suppose I try a new thing every now and again, but overall I just stick with the kinds of things I know will work.

Though I guess since I cut my hair off and started using DevaCurl stuff, I guess I'm in a "try new things" phase...

I experiment with oils and hair masks from time to time. I also dye my hair with chemical dye because I want to get back to light ash blonde(a shade lighter than it's now, the most recent photo is my avatar), so I guess that counts as experiment too because I use different brand hair dyes.

I don't experiment much at all. i probably switch conditioners every now and then. I use my oil that i know works, every now and then I do a treatment I know works and that's about it. The only thing I experiment with is styles.
