experimenter or benign neglector?

I'm actually trying to establish a nice routine that works well! I'm pretty new here, and would like to start taking very good care of my hair.

Ugh! Just succumbed to the mania of a financial windfall, and despite still using past failed experiments as face cleansers and leg creams, I broke and purchased 5lbs (!) of sodium bentonite clay and a small bottle of JBCO (Jamaican Black Castor Oil) and regret both!

My hair seems to have fallen in love my current routine and is not playing well with the new guys. The results aren't terrible, just sub-par. I now have months of bentonite soaks, scrubs, detoxes and facials to look forward to and post-shower castor oil skin conditioning (detoxes too if I can stomach the fish oil taste).

I'm still playing with products, but I shampoo biweekly or triweekly with Head and Shoulders (I get an itchy and flaky scalp), condition and detangle with Aussie Moist, and DC weekly with kitchen ingredients.
