Thank you!
Sorry it is a bit late, but here is a picture of three of my parandas. The blue one was made by BlueMuse, and the other two I did myself. I've also shown the pink one not on its card so you can see how long it is. Here is a link to the instructions BlueMuse originally posted way back up in this thread.
Thanks again BlueMuse for the parandas you made me, and the original inspiration! I basically followed the same method you did, although I used two colours of thread (one darker and one lighter) so that it blends a bit more into my hair, and I didn't include the additional threads for padding, as I wanted it to be just a vehicle for beads, rather than adding thickness. The first one took me quite a while until I got the hang of it, but after that it is pretty speedy. I decided to twist the threads together after I added each strand, as that made the whole paranda a bit more stable, otherwise the weight of the beads occasionally pulled the ends of the threads apart.
Thanks!
That looks beautiful! I love the way you've made a pattern of the two different beads. Can't wait to see an action shot.

Can't wait to see the action shots Sarden! I love how you've combined the beads. And I'm glad you've been having fun making your own ashke! The two colors of thread are a really good idea.
Hey all! So I had a quick go with the beaded parandi. I only had 5 mins so didn't get to play much. Also, it turns out that trying to take a picture of the back of your head when you're in a hurry.... quite difficult!
Anyway, I was 50/50 about it - I would like to see a bit more bead and a little less parandi so I thought I would bead some more strands of it when I get chance;
Paranda + beads = AMAZING!
Wavy, wurly, sometimes curly; on my way to healthier, longer hair!

These look awesome, will definitely try when I get longer hair.
