Oooh those are so lovely! My hair really isn't long enough yet to use them... but maybe in 18months I can have a go! xXxx

I just made one from a ribbon yarn that I only bought one skein of when it was on sale. I have been wondering what to do with it! The colors of the yarn are gold, red, green, and blue... very jewel tone. I will try to get a picture of it. Thanks for the idea.
    Change is the only constant.

I know, right? I got some pretty multi-colored yarn (blue, purple, green) just to try this I'm excited.

This is tonight's fun! I have a ton of yarn up at the storage unit and I need to go up there for something else this afternoon, so I'll bring home some!

Oh, they are beautiful. Another reason to grow my hair longer! Your braided buns are just stunning.

I made one of Multi color yarn (wish that my camera worked!) It was so pretty & made my braided bun look so much fuller.
My problem is that the yarn seemed to dry out my hair, liked sucked the oil out of it or something. My hair felt so dry & fly away when I took it out. Has anyone else noticed the yarn doing that to their hair? What did you do about it?

I haven't tried mine out yet, but was worried about dry effects.

I wonder if lightly oiling the yarn before braiding would help?

I've wanted a paranda since I discovered their existance, but never thought of doing one myself! Thank you for sharing, everybody's look gorgeous, I'll have to try, too.
