I've been conditioner washing for a few months now and so far I have only tried the wen and the VO5 kiwi clarifying conditioner for "cleansing." After a few tries of wen, I switched to VO5 and a moisturizing conditioner, which I've been very happy with...however, I do love change and I'm curious to see what your favorite cleansing conditioners are so I can try something new. I want to know opinions/reviews/comparisons between different cleansing conditioners such as suave and VO5. What are the pros and cons of certain cleansing conditioners and why would you choose one brand over another?

You should add in the new L'Oreal Ever Cream cleansing conditioner!!
I haven't tried it (or any of these) but I can't wait to, I was so excited to see the new L'Oreal product because I love their sulfate free line.
Great thread idea!!

I love the strawberries and cream, mostly because it smells awesome. Another good one by vo5 though is mint tea clarifying (or something to that effect)
I can get suave with college meal points next door so I might try it. Should I try green apple or coconut? I don't have a preference smell wise.
My personal favorite is really any of the Suave Naturals, though of course I prefer some scents over others. I use the coconut to wash out oil as it has a little protein in it to balance the moisture of the oil and currently mango mandarin (soon to be aloe) on normal CO-wash days.
Whether or not you choose green apple or coconut depends on how your hair handles protein in general, I guess. The amount of protein in the coconut is completely negligible to most hair, but I have heard of its reacting badly before.
I prefer to CO-wash with conditioners that contain amine-functionalised silicones, because they give my hair lots of 'coney slip & shine without buildup. My favourites are Pantene Ice Shine, for winter (bis-aminopropyl dimethicone) and Garnier Daily Care for summer (amodimethicone).
I used to use L'Oreal Nutri Gloss (amodimethicone) with superb results as well, but now that I've switched to a protein-heavy deposit dye, the additional protein in the Nutri Gloss is too much for my hair to deal with.
