Thank you for sharing - I love looking at before and after pics too.
Your hair looks so soft! Very pretty.
Personally, I LOVE looking at before and after pics of people on this forum, so I thought I would share a small part of my crazy hair journey.
Before: Feb 2007. I got drunk and found out Britney Spears had shaved her head... um, LIGHT BULB. My hair was really damaged at the time (I damaged it on purpose because, well, it looked cool. Perm on top of dye on top of perm and more dye... I had the best dreads I've ever seen! And how it didn't just fall out is beyond me). You can still see the damage in the front part I didn't shave, because my hair is actually pretty straight.
Aug. 2008: After the buzz, I eventually grew into and dyed this cool cut... if I were ever to go short again, it'd be this. I love the asymmetry. (yes, I was a member of vampirefreaks, lol)
March 2009: shoulder length, fire truck red hair.
Aug 2009: Which eventually got bleached and destroyed to this.
Sept. 2010: With lots of trims and a couple colorings to tone it done, I finally ended up with semi-undamaged hair (hard to believe, right?). This is the pic that let me realize how much my hair has actually grown!
December 2011: This is my starting pic at LHC. After one month of being here, I've already learned so much... most important thing? Trims, shampoos, and heats aren't necessary! Thank you so much and happy growing!

Wow! I like all of your looks actually, especially the asymmetrical one and the fire-engine red!
And look at your siggy pic! Your the perfect example of thickness travelling down. Very cool!
And welcome to LHC!

Thank you, Falcore and jacqueline101!
I loooved having fiery red hair! I actually dyed it brunette shortly after because of a job I got, so there was a step missing in that process... pretty sure I went through 4 different colors in a month or so. I hope my hair stays thick! I've put it through so much, it's unbelievable it's as healthy as it is now. Before the shave, I couldn't tell you how much I had done with it... dying and bleaching it was a month to month occurrence for me, so I think shaving it and then slowing down was the best thing I could have done, even if I went through some dying and bleaching phases, slowly trimming it out really worked.
Looking at the pics I am positive I can be waist+ in a year, maybe even by graduation if I maintain my new routine. Already gained an inch in a month and I'm about 4 inches away
It's really cool to see your journey!
And you know, I didn't really dig the whole Britney Spears hair thing, but you really pull off the look!
Knee+ length! Lady Gelôs, Keeper of the Silken Aulaeum in the Order of the Long Haired Knights <3
Wow your hair is looking great! I am currently growing out a shaven side, similar to the one in your first picture. I regret it so much. I can't wait for my hair to be one even length again! ^.^
@Quixii, you know... I just felt so bad for her. My drunken logic was that someone needed to go through the process of growing out their hair with her. Imagine my shock when I woke up the next morning and rubbed my aching head... LOL
But it grows in sooo much nicer! On the plus side, you could always rock a shorter asymmetrical cut for awhile! If I wasn't so hellbent on growing my hair, I'd definitely do that again!
Nice progress, although I must say that you had some cool looks before as well! Also, you're pretty. ^_^
Wow the length difference between the last two photos is really nice! Your hair looks great!
