Did you bigger trim then grow, or grow then cut bac?

I had an inverted bob so the front was longer than the back for that slanty look. When the upside down u shaped hemline started to bother me and looked funny, I trimmed the sides to match the back.

I do both. I keep doing S&D, and when I start getting too many splits or my ends start thinning, I trim, regardless of the length I want to achieve.

I wanted to grow and then cut back/maintain for a while.
But I never trimmed

So I S&D and eat cheese instead.

I've never trimmed because of damage, only because I wanted my hair to be shorter (and there are probably times when anybody else would have trimmed). So...neither?

When I grew out my hairdye I let it get long enough that it was about to my shoulders and then chopped. For me that was easier. I didn't want to have hair that was too short for a ponytail, and I didn't want to have the demarcation line between non-dyed and dyed hair for too long. This worked out alright.

When I found LHC and decided to grow my hair, I opted for a big-ish chop ( about 5 inches within a few months time) to get rid of some bottom layers and ends that bugged me. So I voted Big chop then let it grow.

I couldn't have handled seeing my layered unhappy ends and waiting patiently for them to grow.... It would have drove me nutty. I was much happier after they were gone!

I don't really have any damage to cut off, so I ate cheese instead.
