I love both but my denman is great!
I'm trying out the Curly Girl Method and the Denman brush is recommended by many girls who do the CG Method, but I've also heard great things about the Tangle Teezer on here.
Which one would you recommend and why is it better than the other?

I definitely prefer my denman! For me, its better for detangling and styling and whatnot. More versatile.
Tangle Teezer. I have to reorder another one, but it's definitely worth it for me. Best brush I've ever used.

I'm a curly and I say definitely the Denman. It helps with clumping.
For detangling, I use a wide toothed shower comb and only when my hair is sopping wet with conditioner.
Oh and which Denman brush does everyone use?
Only choosing between those two, I'd go with the Denman for the longer tines; shorter tines for me generally mean the lower layers stay tangled and get matted. But do bear in mind, how you use it (whichever you end up getting) will make the biggest difference.
My mom will use only the Denman style brushes, if not that brand (she likes it for the massaging feel of it). I read somewhere that nylon bristles tear the hair, and wooden pins were the safest. Are there any Denmans with wooden bristles rather than the nylon?
The Tangle teezer as it goes through hair without dragging,i tried the Denman and ended up with a sore scalp as it kept snagging tufts even though i was gentle, for me nothing beats the Tangle teezer
