No Trims in 2012 Challenge!

I'd love to do this but feel it would be a bad idea since I have splits/damage right now. In order to get rid of it all, I'd probably have to cut to shoulder length. So I think my best bet is to trim it off slowly and when it's all healthy, start the no trim challenge. Although, I have been wondering how bad it REALLY is to go months between trims. Like how long will it take before my splits travel up the hair shaft...hmmm.

Edit: I should add that I haven't trimmed since this past April.

I am looking forward to January 2013! Why? So I can trim! Well...cut. lol Maybe. My last trim was in Sept 2011 so it wil be a year and 4 mons (almost a year and a half!!) I can't remember the last time, if ever, I went this long without a trim. Anyhow...got to start getting rid of these awful layers. I just may do about a 2 inch cut and then go for another year of no trims. No split ends and the hem actually looks pretty great, so...why not!?!

I trimmed in Sept 2011 as well, then again in Jan 2012, and then again just a few days ago, I couldn't last as long as you

But if your hair can take it, it's a great way to gain some length!

I'm still in, but I'm looking very splitty. I haven't had a chance for any S&D in a while, so I'm headed out into the good light to do that, but I'm not sure it's going to be enough.

I did no trims last year too, and then trimmed about 1" on New Years Day. It worked well last year, around Glorified BS length, but this year, headed for waistland, it has been a lot harder to prevent the splits.

I'm still here, though...

My last trim was August 3rd and it was just to get rid of my bangs. Is that Ok? I want to go the rest of the year without a trim. I am thinking when it's December 31st I will do a small trim and start the same time as everyone else. It's just my bangs were bugging me so bad and they were about the length were I could have all one length so I gave it a shot and it turns out I like it. Now the fun begins!

Oddly enough, I have not been trimming but my hair seems to not be growing! I guess that is mostly my own perception though ^_^'... I actually looked at it today and thought it has become shorter

I'm here. I don't actually know when I last cut my hair. It was definitely over two years and my hair seems fine. I wonder what might prompt me to want to trim it.
