No Trims in 2012 Challenge!

Nearly 18 months of no trims and I have growth photos from 12 of them - have a look here to see what not trimming has done for my growth over the past year!

these are great length shots! your growth is so steady... seems like an inch every month at least.... so jealous

I failed the challenge....my ends were too snaggy for me to deal with so I got a trim...back to 28" but happy with my hem line and ends....now I've committed to no trims til I'm at 35"! so a little more than a year from now.

I agree with this, a trim is a trim.

I haven't cut my hair in a good while now, and only had some taken off the side at the end of last year to integrate some layers that were a bit choppy. I'm still in for 2012.

Well, I'm still going strong! I went to the salon today for a sooner-than-expected hair fix (dying the ends to match the roots, wasn't planning on that for another three months), and my friend asked if I wanted a trim, and while I was tempted to say "yes", my ends are still really healthy, so while I kind of want the layers fixed up, I told her I was doing the "No trims in 2012 challenge" and she grinned and told me with how well I take care of my hair, she thinks it won't be a problem.

I'll say though, I'm so glad she isn't pushy because I might have caved in.

Well, I didn't last long

I cut about a third of a centimetre yesterday just to even out a tiny bit.

I took a week-long break from LHC, and started to wonder if I should get a trim. However, I am a procrastinator, and that works to my advantage in this situation. The urge to trim passed for now.

I think when I get to the 6 month mark (since November), I will be tempted again.

Well, About to go into month 5 here. Have been tempted here and there but still hanging on. Will keep with my search and destroys. Hope to make it to December :-)

I haven't really trimmed my hair since, I believe September or August. Although I did do a dust trim a few days ago for the first time, does that count as a trim? (it wasn't enough to really be able to measure).

I wish I had kept track of how long my hair was in September/August so I could know how much hair I have grown since then. But I started paying attention in February, so I only know from there.
