What are hair color levels?
Hair color levels are simply how much lightness or darkness is present in hair, which is a necessity for hairstylists when they need to lighten or darken their client's hair color. Also it can help you more clearly define your hair color. The chart consists of 10 levels from lightest (platinum blonde) to darkest (black).

I'm naturally somewhere between a 7-8 (we "levelled" our hair in beauty school, haha) but with henna and deposit only red dye I'm now somewhere closer to a 6.
nearly bangs-less! 10/19/11.
About 2.75 here..it was hard for me to decide.
I'm between 5 and 6.

5.5. I picked 6 because I think it's closer, but wow, I would never call myself a dark blonde.
between 3 and 4 (not counting sparkles!)
I'm somewhere between 5 and 6...maybe a 5.5
I'm naturally like a 9, but I color to about a 4 or 5. It looks much better with my very pink skin tone and green eyes
I thought I was naturally about a level 6 but I went to a colourist recently to tone down my dyed hair to closer to my natural colour (which had about 2" of roots by then) and she told me that I am actually naturally a level 8.
Who knew
