    Default Show your braid waves!!

Share your braid waves! What sort of braid/plait did you use to get them? Did you braid/plait wet or dry? How long did you leave it in before you took it out? There's a pic of my braid waves in my signature pic. I put it into a single french braid when it was quite damp and left it overnight. OK, your turn!

ETA: Everyone, please keep your images small if you can. 400px on the longest side is a safe size. This makes it so much easier for our dial-up members. Thanks ~ harpgal

Wow, I really like those braid waves!

I cannot show you a picture, but I normally also put it in a single french braid when it is damp and leave it overnight. But when I take it out, the ends are very straight and that does not look very nice. I was wondering how you have solved that problem?

I hope you can help me with this, and hopefully I can take a nice picture of my braid waves without the straight ends, to show you

Here are mine. Not much too look at, I think my length really pulls them down. I braid my hair when it is still a bit damp, usually, but do not put on any special product beforehand. Just the usual leave-ins and oils.

My DH likes braid waves, but I don't wear my hair down often (as in, maybe once or twice a year), so no one else sees them but my family.

Slow day: Didn't have much to do, so spent three hours on LHC. Busy day: Managed to work in three hours of LHC. Bad day: Barely squeezed in three hours on LHC.

Here are some braid waves I got from double frenchies! Poor MIL, every time she comes to visit she gets commissioned to double french braid my hair! Maybe I will learn to do them myself one day!

You can braid like normal but when you are tying off the tassle, fold it up into a loop and then tie it off. HTH!

These were from double french braids.

This is my daughter's braids and her resulting waves! Her hair is alot straighter and smoother than mine and thus gives much prettier waves!

I so wish I had a picture to show of my friend's classic length hair when it has braid waves. She will spend a good deal of time on wet hair making small individual braids all over her head. When it's dry she'll take them out and it looks like she used a crimping iron. It's so beautiful, but she only does it a couple of times a year since it takes so long.

Braid waves are so pretty! My hair is too short though really. I can probably just about braid it but the braid wouldn't be any longer than the top part of my head which wouldn't get braided - so the waves would look weird.

I usually put my hair up in two pigtail braids on shampoo day (Saturday) and leave them in overnight so that I have lovely waves on Sunday for church.

This is what the waves look like when I take the braids out:

This is what it looks like if I sleep on the waves:
