    Default Max saturation?

Okay, so I have now done 8 full head henna applications, and my color has not darkened after my 3rd. Now don't get me wrong, I love my color now...... but I would REALLY love it if it went about 5-6 shades darker. I have naturally blond hair, dark blond, but still blond, and now I have a medium dark red. I would love to get to the cherry coke color..... but I am afraid to try indigo and end up with brown. Has anyone else reached max saturation this light?

Oh, and my profile pic shows me after the second henna, but that is even a tad darker (lighting) than it is now.....

Was your hair chemically treated before the henna? If so it might have problems grabbing more henna than it has at the moment. With virgin hair you should experience darkening quite fast.

If not, just continue with the henna and wear it for a really long time.

I've been henna'ing my hair for about twenty years now and to get it darker I simply HAVE to use indigo. I never experienced the darkening with more applications - and my hair was virgin when I started henna. It all depends on your hair type I guess.
If you want to try getting darker don't worry too much about indigo. You could start with a small percentage mixed to your henna, like 20%. Anyway, indigo washes out quite a bit. My hair is much lighter several weeks after henndigo.
