Box braids~ a look I learned thanks to the LHC! (pictures)

I posted these pictures in the "May 2011 Hairstyle for the Month" thread, but I thought, hey, why not post them here on the "Mane" Forum, too? So here I am

First, a few pictures of a box braid French-braid style:

And pictures taken yesterday, when I did two regular box braids and then wrapped them around (and around...and around) my head:

that´s really looks great! it looks very difficult for me to do this on my own, did anybody help you?

Thank you!

It does take a little bit longer to do the box braid than the regular English braid, but it's well worth it if you have the time! I think each look took me somewhere between 20-25 minutes.

I do my hair myself~ with mirrors, of course

You braid with mirrors? That's a skill! I can't look in the mirror when I braid, that only confuses me.

I found that confusing too in the beginning, but now I connot feel comfortable without using 2 or 3 mirrors even though I'm only making a simple hairbun xD
