Nice. In America it's a conversational word meaning "made fluffy".

Oh my stars.
As a 1b/ii, this thread is absolutely fascinating.
It's the hair equivalent to those children's toys that grow in water. Bless you all for the upkeep it must require! It's worth it for that gorgeous texture!

This thread amuses me no end! I always found my brushed-out curls hilarious so I'm glad to see I'm not the only one!
I have one! A friend and I did this for the laughs.
You both have beautiful hair before... and energetic hair after!
What beautiful hair you all got!
But honestly, I've always wanted to have hair that looks like curly brushed hair..the volume and everything, looks so nice to me. But I guess it would be damaging to brush curly hair often? (Good thing that I don't have one cuz I would brush it often and probably wouldn't have been able to reach the length I'm at now.)

Dessi, the 80s girl in me loves the big, brushed curls as well. So pretty!
Grew out the pixie.
Acquired a mane.
Cruising toward Classic.

Well, brushing curly hair doesn't have to be damaging, but if you just brush it and then leave it loose, it will tangle awfully. If I were to brush my hair out in the morning and leave it loose all day, I'd have dreadlocks by the evening. If I do brush my hair, I must put it in very tight braid or bun immediately afterwards.
It might look interesting to someone who hasn't experienced it, but it's not worth it.
