    This is a hilarious thread because so many "after" pictures look like what I have thought was the norm for my hair

    My mom too, like a PP, thought that everyone must brush/comb their hair well before leaving the house. So I brushed my waves and curls into frizzy flatness and have always hated my hair.

    Went off to college and had some wonderful curls for a while, since I'd just wash and let dry.

    I loved the past 10 years or so of having it short and straight and colored--except that it's terribly damaged!

    And now I'm letting it go "wild" again and NOT brushing it, because what mama don't know won't hurt her

    But I'm glad to know that those funky brush pictures you've posted, that look like my past, are NOT what my wavy hair is supposed to look like Thanks!

    Well I sacrificed freshly washed hair.


    Only combed. Still some slight waves.


    Mass of brushed and combed hair.


    This one is just to show how much bigger my hair is than the rest of me.

    I shall have to do this too. Except mine is already a frazzly mess because it usually gets brushed after day 1 of clean hair. It has settled down a bit now as I've not brushed it this week and its frizziness is due to crappy hair. But still...I love this idea. RedCelticCurls, I truly think you take the prize on this one. You look like a completely different RedCelticCurls with your hair brushed out! LOL
