What does your family think of your long hair?

I voted "no opinion" because for the most part... no one cares. xD My siblings and mother haven't ever mentioned it. My aunts have made casual "oh, it's long, how nice" type comments but without the catty tone most people get.

My boyfriend really likes it. My dad approves in a silent way, he's rather traditional and thinks women should have long-ish hair, undyed, and all that kind of junk.

I don't really ever discuss my hair though... I pretty much just let it do its thing, and as long as I like it that's all that matters.

They apparently think it's thick.

The last time I showed them how long my hair was, I was taking it out of a bunned French braid and they were like

. My dad and my sister seem to like it okay at longer lengths, although I do have relatives who hate my hair (I suspect they're jealous).

My DF's parents really like my henna color but they haven't said anything about the length, but that's because DF's mom has hair that is somewhere between waist and tailbone herself.

my husband and son love it,half my sisters like it, the others think i look better with it short,as it's my hair not theirs i really don't give a fig if they like it or not,and ifthe subject comes up like occasionly when we have coffee out, i just ignore the comments i don't like.as we are sisters we all get on well most of the time and we just agree to disagee on most things.

My family loves long hair (it's a cultural thing) and have been battling it out with me for years to get me to stop cutting it. My mom especially has been really happy that I am finally growing it out but I don't think she'd be surprised if I decided to cut it short again in the future.

My hair isn't long yet and I don't think they really realize I'm consciously growing it out. For some reason, I kind of keep it a secret...

I voted cheese . . . my mom thinks my hair is too long, but I wouldn't say she hates it.

My boyfriend doesn't mind if I have long or short hair. He does occasionally call me elvira though!
My mum dislikes it and thinks I should cut it shorter. She especially dislikes my 7 year old daughters waist length hair though.
My dad has expressed no opinion.
Just wait till my hair is waist length and longer!

My family likes my hair where it is right now, BSL.
My boyfriend loves long hair and just kinda smiles when I tell him I want to grow it out till it stops.
My mother and father don't like the idea of having hair past my waist.
My brother and sisters don't really care....yet.

My mother likes my hair long, and likes all the updos I can manage. My father doesn't really care either way, but he has said it looks best "all free flowing" when it's down. My brothers' general reactions are to tug on my braid and call me a hairy monster.

(They're both in their late twenties. Some things never change.

Well I was suprised that so many said NO ONE CARES. I figured I would be in the minority.

No one ever comments on my hair length. Like they don't even notice.

I don't really care. Better that than "you should cut it".

I did have one aunt say something positive once about it being long. Once.

DH never cared until recently when I started talking about shaving my head. He told me once that he could never see me without long hair. It is sort of part of my identity I guess.
