    I know the feeling! I'm a 2A if I leave it to 'do what nature intended', but I always detangle and comb when it's damp, so by the time my hair's dry it's nearer a 1C, then it gets brushed and braidwaves overnight. It's permanently confused.

    I think you actually have a mix of both 1c and 2a. I can see both types of hair texture on your head, because overall you have a very loose, large wave pattern that is more straightish than wavy which would be 1c. But, you do have a few defined big waves on the sides of your head, and those big defined waves are 2a. So I would type you as having both 1c and 2a, or 1c/2a.
