Keep it!
Trim it back to get rid of layers
Trim it back to thicken up your ends
Trim it back to get rid of damage
Trim it back to get rid of dye
Try a new cut or color risk-free and then grow it back if you don't like it
I would crank out some cheese!
I would trim 6" of and keep the rest. That would put me at my goal length with, hopefully, thicker ends.
I choose the option of crank out some cheese. Seriously if it ever happens, I wouldn't even know to react. Is my hair possessed?
Life is meant to be an enjoyment
I would so keep it! My ends are quite healthy, so no need to trim unless it felt far too long. And 12 extra inches would totally put me at my goal length and beyond.
Woaah! Well in that case I would get it cut into an awesome asymmetrical bob because that is the haircut I want!! And it would be longer anyway, and that way I could also get rid of the bleached ends
Now see, if I had things my way science would have to improve on this machine and make it brand new and functional for multiple uses. You could use it for several years before it would break down and you'd need to get a new one. Also, a maximum of only 12 extra inches is still not enough in my book. What if the customer was bald? 12 inches still wouldn't give him or her an impressive mane of hair. No, the machine I envision would allow you to grow up to 7 ft of hair if you so desired. That way even those who want floor length could get what they wanted. Oh, and there would also be some sort of dial where you can customize just how many inches you want!

Another one trimming layers, but they're fine really. It's just that I've always had some sort of layers, time to change.

Growing 12 inches would get me to around fingertip length (= very much of a dream length for me, I've only reached classic once so far), however it would also help to thicken up my ends tremendously (I can't count how many times during the last months I've been tempted to cut back to waist just to thicken up) so it's a really hard decision whether to keep it or to cut it off.
I'd probably keep it at least for a while though, just to see what it's like having fingertip length hair and maybe later cut it off? I'm not sure I'd have the heart to cut all 12 inches
