What do you love about your hair ?

So I've seen posts that were kind of like this, but not completely. I did look, but if there's already a thread about this, if somebody could direct me and close this I'd appreciate it.

Personally, I'm at a very short length right now post-damage and I'm constantly complaining about my hair; it's really frustrating, but at the same time there's a few things I forget about my hair that I really do love and take for granted when I should just be thankful that I have hair at all

Soo, I don't want to hear about what you don't like - I don't want to hear about that AT ALL. All I want from you guys/girls is what you do enjoy about your hair, as many things as you can think of. I guess you can call it a hair gratitude list of sorts. I'll start

I lovvee...

• that my hair seems to be able to withstand an extreme amount of damage even though it's very fine.
• my hair loves cheap/natural products
• i think that although fine curly/wavy hair is one of the most difficult hairtypes to care for, it's really really pretty when it's in good condition.
• it's naturally very light, so my options as far as color are really open ended.
• hair in general, I believe, is very forgiving
• it grows back !

practically everything! I am so vain about my hair it is embarrassing, though publicly I pretend nonchalance If people knew the horrible truth nobody would be friends with me. lol.

The color, the body, the fullness (it isn't SUPER thick and difficult but it also isn't thin.) The texture-- I feel it is an ideal balance between my dad's flyaway baby-fine hair and my mom's coarse-textured curls/waves.

The condition (I have spent the last couple evenings hunting for split ends but to no avail.)

It's just hair, and I can't take a lot of credit for it-- it's a gift from the capricious, arbitrary, cruelly unfair gene pool.

But I love mine!

My hair is also extremely short, so this is a good exercise for me.
Let's see...

my hair is extremely soft because it's so healthy
it's very shiny
my hair pretty much loves whatever i put on it and isn't picky about products
which means that cheap conditioner is awesome
someday, when it's longer, it will curl once more!
it's always growing.

Mine is so smooth and shiny...I can't stop touching it when I actually wear it down!

The longer length comforts me because it feels like a very soft blanket when it hits my arms.

Mine was like this until about last week ! Which reminds me...

I love my hair because it's so easy to tell whether it's growing or not without measuring

I love how my hair is essentially damage proof. I don't think I've ever had a split end in my crazy hair-dying, blow-drying, flat-ironing past. I love how my color is unusual. I love how soft it feels when I wear it down. I love how benign neglect is my hair's favorite thing. ^_^

This is a great post. I think everyone can really use more positive thinking about their hair (and themselves in general!).

What I love about my hair~

• Surprisingly easy to manage despite the length
• The ever-increasing waviness
• The color, especially in the sun
• How versatile it is—I usually wear it up in a bun or down when I'm in a hurry, but playing with it when I've got the time is so much fun
• How it flows when submerged in water; it's mesmerizing!
