I'm planning to do a henna gloss this week. I'll probably use Kiss My Face Whenever conditioner, maybe with a bit of oil added. Will update on the result.
I used up my VO5 kiwi-lime, a bit of treseme, and some aubrey organics honey suckle rose in my daughters gloss

I think the simpler the better. I've used Garnier Fructis and used a conditioner I got from Yves Rocher... seems the mixture in henna made the conditioner more waxy, leaving the waxy feeling on my hair... or maybe it's the oils in these conditioners. I had the best luck with a simple Suave conditioner.
Worked really well: tresemme naturals nourishing moisture, VO5 repair & protect(new? White bottle+yellow/gold print)
Both are very thick and mixed up fine in a 50/50 dilution for me.
Didn't work: vo5 clarifying(vanilla mint? I think) too thin, the whole mix congealed so was water+chunks. It dripped henna water everywhere. Since then I have avoided all vo5 standard conditioners in my mix except the one listed above.
Suave Naturals Strawberry, Garnier triple Nutrition or Dove Intense Repair are usually the ones i use..
BCL right now w a thick hemline. Aiming for classic this year
Basically any natural organic conditioner I have used worked well.

I've never had a conditioner not work in a gloss, when I used to do them I usually tried to use one without cones, but even if I some time did use one with cones, I don't remember any negative effects at all.
Yoghurt - okay it's not a conditioner but I'd never use anything else after using yoghurt it definitely had the best result.
I always used the Whole Foods brand one, 365. It was the unscented.
It worked well.

Pretty much any no-cone conditioner should work great, but of course the more natural the better, I suppose.
