    Default Lemon rinse success! (pic)

People, I'm so excited I have tried the lemon rinse with fresh lemon today (juice of one big lemon to ~ 1ltr water) and I was amazed at the results. Hardly any frizz and well-formed shiny curls and waves. It looks simply too good to be true
Here's a picture of completely air-dried hair, no product except shampoo, conditioner and lemon rinse used.

I am very satisfied with the result. Hopefully once in 6 days is not too often for such a rinse. The only drawback is that it makes curls so tight that my almost BSL hair looks way shorter than APL, but I'm not complaining.

For those who think of trying it... Don't think, try!

And thanks to LHC for being such a wonderful place full of great recipes!

    Wow, your hair looks amazing.
So shiny, soft and well-formed curls.
I will need to try this.
Do you think a lime will be as good as a lemon?
Have you ever tried acv rinses?

I've been doing ACV rinse for two years. It helps a lot, and doesn't mess up my color. I recently switched to ionized water, which is giving me even better results.

Thanks for the compliment, Finchen! You hair looks very thick and nice color, too!

I haven't tried lime juice for rinses... It might work, I think.

I previously tried with bottled lemon juice (you know those yellow plastic bottles which resemble lemon), but that didn't work at all. Maybe freshness is the key?

I have tried citrid acid rinses and ACV in the past, but none of them worked like *this*. They did reduce frizz a bit, did add shine a bit, but only lemon had such a nice effect.

Looking great, Inty. Have tried the squeezy lemon, but didn't have much success. May try again witht he fresh lemon. Your hair looks fab!

    Wow your hair looks amazing!

I did ACV rinses but for me lemon works so much better. I always end up getting some pulp in the bottle though, so I have to make sure I wash it out really well (also because if there's any left in my hair and I go in the sunlight I'll get orange highlights).

Beautiful!!! Makes me wish for curls!

I do lime juice rinse whenever I get too sick of the smell of ACV (which usually is at that one time of the month) and I like it too.

Do you rinse out the lemon rinse or leave it in.
