Thanks, everybody, for the compliments and the trimming advice! I took a longish hiatus from hair pictures and suddenly tailbone is within sight, it's pretty exciting.

Yes, sometimes that inch means the difference between a bun that works and one that doesn't. Congratulations!

Oh yay! An inch can make a big difference in how my buns hold, too. An inch to be able to do the bun, an inch for it to hold tight, an inch for it to go oddly loose, another inch and it holds great again. Funny how that works!

I guess I will be joining ya'll for a time. I am currently exactly at waist at 29", Tailbone on me is 36", I am hoping to make it by Christmas, hopefully by the time I reach tailbone my hair will look waist length.

Welcome (both to the thread and LHC)! We're starting from a similar length, I'm currently just over 29" (nearly 30", at the tip of my v). and I'm also hoping to reach ~36" by the holidays! Though for me that is only bcl. I need nearly 38" for tailbone (:

You're welcome! Yeah, I know the feeling of it not feeling like it. When you haven't had hair that long before it does feel shorter, doesn't it?

I don't know about it feeling much shorter than it actually is (lol I feel like I have a lot of hair), but it definitely doesn't feel super long! Although to me, it looks really long on me in pictures from the back. But what I find a bit odd is that it feels REALLY short when I pull it to the front of my body!

I'm past hip and starting to feel my hair brushing my butt every once in a while. My last trim was in July and I feel like I'm due again, but I'm really rather happy with it at the moment.

Yeah, I know the feeling when you pull your hair to the front it does feel shorter! But yes, I can see that you do have a lot of hair! And, it is super long! Mine to me, right now seems so short up BSL. I'm hoping to be out of that range this coming March. I hope to be at WL. lol

I cut back earlier this month due to weight and cut in more layers to try to combat the issue. We will see if layers help the ponytail headaches.
