Re: Help! Argan oil made my hair super greasy!
I thought the salon was going to say that... :/
Just wondering...what temperature are you using to wash your hair with? Oil won't leave your hair if it is lukewarm...it has to be rather warm, just not hot.
When I was a kid, I poured half a bottle of olive oil on my head. Warm water and massaging in conditioner did the trick. I oil my hair almost every day and have never had a problems with it. Sometimes, I have to condition 3 times in my shower time to get it out, but Suave is cheap enough to do this with.

Re: Help! Argan oil made my hair super greasy!
Hello!
Well, it has been about 12 days now and I think the oil is finally gone from my hair as of today.
Two things helped: I found Suave in a small-town grocery store. They only had the coconut one, so I bought that. And Little Cherry’s question re water temp prompted a change. It’s been hotter than hell here (40 with the humidity), so I have been having cold showers. For the last three days I’ve rinsed my hair with hot water, and I think that may have helped a great deal. Grease is gone, but now I have fuzzy hair due to the crap I used trying to remove the grease. I’ll take that over grease though.
Thanks for all of your tips! J

Phew! Glad it came out! To combat the friziness, give your hair a few days rest then try some of your ordinary conditioner for a nice moisture soak.

Sorry to hear about all of this. Conditioner helps to emulsify the oil which helps release it from hair.
You got a lot of great advice. I agree about deep conditioning for a while.
After conditioning, to combat the frizz, you could try this recipe, http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/...0&postcount=58.
little_cherry just tried it and it is a success with bottled lemon juice too, no dryness or ill effects reported,

The secret to mariika's recipe success is the dilution and the constituents of lemon juice. It is not just the acidity.
