Current method: WCC ROO C LOC. trimming to TBL
no SLS (but yes to SLES) Herbal rinses: catnip, fenugreek and just started using chagrin ACV rinse when needed scalp only to scalp happy (scalp prolly needs sls)
Wendyp, that's such an exciting milestone! It looks great in your hair. GTS was my first hair fork too.
OK folks, this is terrible light and messy because I just tested this out right before I got in the shower, BUT I was able to do a pretzel bun! With the same technique that JJJ uses in her video (whole hand wrapping)! I was surprised that my hair was long enough. Anyway, I'm not sure if it looks right? But I'm proud enough to post it.

Good work ladies. It is fun to get a first toy. I never tried a pretzel bun from JJJ.

Crossposting from the ROAK thread. I was gifted these beautiful hair antlers and just had to share!

Zesty it looks beautiful! such a warm rich tone your hair has. How do you like using clips for this bun? Now that I'm so firmly on sticks and forks with the occasional ribbon elastic, I cant imagine a clip feeling comfortable. But how is it? certainly looks pretty!

I had never tried it either, but turned to claw clips out of desperation and was watching JJJ's YouTube channel for ideas. It worked really well!
Thank you! Once you "unlock" forks and sticks, I feel like hair styling becomes so easy.
Thank you for the compliments. I previously couldn't imagine claw clips (A) looking pretty (on me) or (B) being comfortable, but I actually do like the look of these $5 clips from the grocery, and it distributes the weight well. I figured that if Sarahlabyrinth, JJJ, etc. do the two claw clip method and have way more hair than me, I could probably make it work comfortably too. I'm pretty sad that my sticks and forks have gotten less secure on unbraided/untwisted hair though, they were my go-to for yeeeears in a LWB.
Also your new sticks are very pretty! You got a great variety.
