Default What to put in a homemade protein treatment?

I've been avoiding protein lately because I thought I was protein-sensitive, but now I've been thinking my hair needs a bit of protein.

I love to mix up homemade recipes for my hair. So I was wondering what to put into a homemade protein treatment. I know of eggs and mayonaise, but I was looking for a few other ideas perhaps, if there are any of course. Exact recipes are also welcomed and appreciated!

    Thanks for the help.

Once in a while (when my hair has begged for it long enough) I will buy myself a beer and mix about half of it with egg yolk, lather it into dry hair, wrap it and leave it in for as long as I can stand (which is usually no more than half an hour as I don't care much for the smell), then I rinse and wash as normal.. My hair loves it, always soft and shiny afterwards, I just wish there was another way so I wouldn't have to smell like an alcoholic while my hair dries at least the smell goes away little after my hair is dry..

I was thinking about treating my hair to a protein treatment recently and came across these threads:

    protein treatment?

    The Protein Thread

    diy protein treatment?

I haven't tried any myself yet but they've been great reads for info.
