I would love to see your braid. I don't think you should be ashamed to have thin hair. Everyone's hair is different.

The last time I had long hair my braid looked like a shoelace. Nothing pathetic about it, I kind of like shoelaces.

http://i.imgur.com/gdvQx.jpg This is my favourite braid, two French braids gathered around the head as a crown. I'm afraid I don't remember the name of it, but it's so comfortable and leaves the hair with the cutest waves!

    Hello !
I have a little question for the girls who really master Dutch braid here, especially MaRo. ^^
My Dutch braids always begin really low for my taste, like behind my head instead to be on the top of it. I don't exactly know what I'm doing wrong. So : how do you begin your braid ? How big are the first strands you take ? Do you take the hairs from all around the forehead ? In short : what are your tips ? ^^

this is my first french braid after cutting my hair short 2 months ago. Im sad. I really miss the length, and discovered my hair is growing slower then it normally does. ):

I don't know if I've mastered Dutch braiding, but I'm okay at it (wearing two Dutch braids at the moment, actually!) For some reason, when I do two Dutch braids, I manage to start the braid higher up. Small sections definitely helps for me. I have the same issue you do when doing a single Dutch, though: the braid begins very low. I think it's just that you should take a rather small section from the very top of your head to start off with. I usually grab a lot of hair, as if I were doing a half-up, but this results in the aforementioned low-starting Dutch.

Hope this babble was of any use!
