Let me introduce the STRANGE MESSY BRAID! Next time I will make it neater, I promise. It was just for fun. Please excuse the background and don't tell my mother that I posted a picture of DMH (Dear Messy House) here - she would kill me if she knew

What a decision!

Well here's a couple pics of yesterday's attempt at a 5-strand braid. I was procrastinating cooking.

It's not perfect but at least my fingers didn't rebel and start making a 3-strand braid without my knowledge/consent. Also, please excuse the two tones; I'm still working on the "henndigo" without indigo.

Asequui, I really like that 5-strand. I've only done it once, but not well enough that my fingers have memorized the movements.

Those are some killer braids, and you have a great hair color. My favorite photo is definitely the one with double braids -- they look great on you.

Lol, I don't think mine have either. I had to go really slow so I didn't start making a 3-strand by accident.

I second the welcome and the admiration of the double braids. I like to do that myself. And to be fair, on a board that is predominantly women... shirtless doesn't hurt either!
